2:3 Print Sizes in Pixels
2:3 is one of the most common ratios for Etsy wall art because one file covers six frame sizes, from a 4×6 postcard to a 24×36 poster. The table lists the pixels each size needs; at 300 DPI the 24×36 master is 7,200 × 10,800 pixels.

Pixels = inches × DPI, rounded to the nearest whole pixel. 300 DPI is the print-shop standard for prints seen up close; 200 is fine on a wall; 150 is the floor. Etsy itself sets no DPI rule.

What size file do I need for a 24×36 poster?
At 300 DPI, 7,200 × 10,800 pixels. At 200 DPI, which usually still looks sharp on a wall, 4,800 × 7,200 is enough. The table above lists both, together with the 150 DPI floor.
Does one 2:3 file really cover 4×6 and 24×36?
Yes. 4×6, 8×12, 12×18, 16×24, 20×30 and 24×36 all share the 2:3 shape, so a single file prints at every one of them without cropping. The DPI changes with the size: a 7,200 × 10,800 file is 300 DPI at 24×36 and far above that at 4×6.
Is 2:3 the same as 4:6 or 8:12?
Yes. 4:6, 8:12, 12:18, 16:24, 20:30 and 24:36 all reduce to 2:3. Etsy listings often name the file by its biggest size, but the ratio is what decides which frames it fits.
